The establishment of Lan’s Flower Farm in Clay, NY, was spawned from owners Jianwu Lan and her husband, Mark V. Weiss’s passion for horticulture. Years of dedication to their beautiful perennial gardens led to the opening of Lan’s Flower Farm.
Since its meager beginnings in 2005 as just a roadside stand, Lan’s has grown into an exciting operation that hosts and sells over 700 varieties of containerized perennials, groundcovers,  Daylilies, Hostas, Ornamental Grasses and more.
Today, Lan’s is one of the largest suppliers of perennials in Syracuse NY! We do wholesale perennials too!

Lan’s Flower Farm is a family business that started as a “labor of love.” This means we absolutely love what we do!
We are totally committed to customer satisfaction and our staff has a combined 50+ years of experience, meaning we are a wealth of horticulture, landscaping and design knowledge at Lan’s Flower Farm.
Just read our staff bios! We would love the opportunity to answer all of your questions about plants, including plant growth, form and habits, and landscape design.
We’d love for you to take a leisurely walk through our stunning display gardens and more for inspiration.

You can find Lan’s Flower Farm at several farmer’s markets in the Syracuse and Central NY areas, flower and garden shows, along with education and trade shows. Owners Lan and Mark invite you to come and visit their personally created display gardens for a relaxing stroll, where you are sure to discover spectacular plants, flowers, and fresh inspiration! Browse our catalog and contact us for more information. Lan’s Flower Farm is open every Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., during the months of April to November. We are proud to be one of the finest flower farms in Syracuse NY!

Farmer Market “Roadies”

While most are sleeping, Gordon and Matthew, without any compensation (not really, they work for beer and BBQ), wake up at 4:30am on Saturday’s to assist Mark with setting up at the Central NY Regional Market.  Without their support and dedication it would be a laborious task setting up and packing up each weekend. We are grateful for their commitment and to have their help. Thank you boys.

Chenlan Xue (aka Lanlan)

Founder & Retired

Lanlan helped get Lan’s Flower Farm off the ground by manning the perennials at Lan’s original roadside stand.  While there is no longer a roadside stand to attend to, Lanlan has moved in a different career direction, leaving her poor mother behind to do all the hard back breaking work. Go figure. She is now a Carrier Account Manager for C.H. Robinson in Buffalo, NY. She spends her free time jet-setting around the world, golfing and sleeping (which she enjoys immensely), and when home helps to assist Lan’s customers.
